The final stage: We have reached our summit |

01 December 2008
In due time for World AIDS Day on December 1st, the “Cape 2 Cape – Aids Awareness Expedition 2008” arrives in Cape Town. A total of 24,000 kilometres of Europe and Africa lie behind us. On the one hand, we are chuffed about the numerous experiences that we have experienced together. On the other hand, we leave each other’s company with heavy hearts. |
 |
The 24,000km also apply to our KYOCERA printer that has accompanied our complete journey from beginning to end – the massively varying weather conditions; the rocky pistes in the accompanying vehicle, as well as the thousands of meters above sea level have all been masterly conquered. Whether the images were for press conferences, or assistance in crossing borders, or just beautiful pictures of mountain summits, the printouts have made our lives considerably easier on more than one occasion. The photos bear witness to the many positive experiences that we will look back upon with great fondness, and not forget in a hurry.
With all this in mind, there are many stories to tell, and many reasons to celebrate. The party will go on long into the night. We are already looking forward to next time!
